Candidates are advised to be aware that this is a Centralized Notification for the recruitment of Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961 for North Western Railway Units. It is important to note that Railway Recruitment Cell, North Western Railway (RRC/NWR) has been designated as the nodal agency for receiving ONLINE applications from candidates and compiling their merit list. It is mandatory for candidates to submit their applications exclusively through RRC Jaipur's official website, which can be accessed at www.rrcjaipur.in.
After the merit list has been prepared, it will be communicated to the respective Divisions/Units on North Western Railway. The Document Verification and Medical Examination will take place in the chosen Divisions/Units, depending on the case. It is important for candidates to be aware that there will be no formation of a centralized merit list.

RRB Apprentice Notification 2024 Post Qualification, Eligibility
- The applicant should have successfully completed the 10th grade examination or its equivalent (under the 10+2 examination system) with a minimum of 50% marks overall from a recognized Board. Additionally, they must hold a National Trade Certificate in the specified trade issued by either the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) or the State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT).
- The minimum age requirement for candidates is 15 years, while the maximum age limit is 24 years as of 10.02.2024.
- For SC/ST candidates, the upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years, and for OBC candidates, it is relaxed by 3 years.
- Candidates with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) have a relaxation of 10 years in the upper age limit.
- Ex-servicemen can avail an additional relaxation of up to 10 years based on their years of service in the Defence Forces, plus 3 years if they have served a minimum of 6 months continuously. However, if they have already joined the Government service on the Civil side after availing the Ex-servicemen status, they will not be eligible for this relaxation. Ex-servicemen will be considered against the Ex-servicemen quota, if available, regardless of their community. If there are no UR vacancies, only ex-servicemen belonging to communities with available vacancies will be considered against the ex-servicemen quota.
- Candidates who wish to avail the reservation benefits for SC/ST must provide a Caste certificate issued by the appropriate authority in the Central Government format as per Annexure-I during the Document Verification process. Similarly, candidates seeking reservation benefits for OBC must provide a Caste certificate and Non-Creamy Layer Certificate issued on or after 1/4/2023 in the Central Government format as per Annexure-II & OBC Declaration as per Annexure-IIA. Candidates who want to avail the reservation benefits for EWS must provide an EWS certificate in the prescribed format as per Annexure-III during the Document Verification process.

RRB Apprentice Vacancies 2024 Age Limit
The candidates must be at least 15 years old and not exceed 24 years of age as of 10.02.2024 in order to meet the minimum age requirement. However, there are certain relaxations in the upper age limit for specific categories. For SC/ST candidates, the upper age limit is extended by 5 years, while for OBC candidates, it is extended by 3 years. Additionally, candidates with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) are granted a relaxation of 10 years in the upper age limit.
Selection Process for RRB Apprentice Job 2024
- The selection process will be based on a merit list that will be prepared for all candidates who apply for the notification. This merit list will be created by considering the percentage of marks obtained in matriculation (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) and ITI marks in the relevant trade for the apprenticeship. The final panel will be determined by taking the simple average of the marks obtained in matriculation and ITI.
- To calculate the percentage of matriculation marks, the marks obtained by the candidates in all subjects will be taken into account, rather than focusing on the marks of any specific subject or group of subjects. Similarly, for calculating the percentage of ITI marks, the marks mentioned in the provisional or final certificate will be considered.
How to Apply for RRB Apprentice Notification 2024
- Candidates are required to apply online by visiting the website www.rrcjaipur.in. Detailed instructions for filling up online applications will be provided on the website.
- Candidates must log on to the RRC/Jaipur website www.rrcjaipur.in to fill out the online application form with their personal details and bio data. It is important to fill in the information carefully.
- Please note that candidates should have an Aadhaar Card. During registration, candidates must provide their 12-digit Aadhaar Card number. If a candidate does not have an Aadhaar number but has enrolled for Aadhaar and has not yet received the Aadhaar Card, they can enter the 28-digit Aadhaar Enrolment ID printed on the Aadhaar Enrolment slip. This provision applies to candidates from all states and Union Territories except Jammu & Kashmir, Meghalaya, and Assam. Candidates from these states/union territories can enter their voter ID number, valid passport number, driving license number, or any other valid government identity card in the online application form. Candidates must present the original Aadhaar card or the mentioned document during the document verification process.
- Candidates should ensure that their name, father's name, and date of birth exactly match the records in their Matriculation or equivalent certificate. Any deviation found during the document verification process will result in the cancellation of the candidature and debarment.
- Candidates are advised to provide their active mobile number and valid email ID in the online application form and keep them active throughout the entire engagement process. All important messages will be sent via email/SMS, and they will be considered as deemed to have been read by the candidates.
- Candidates can only apply for one unit.
- Candidates attempting to submit more than one application with different particulars such as name, father's name, community, photo (face), educational and/or technical qualification, etc., or with different email IDs, are not allowed.
- After paying the exam fee, take a printout of the application form and keep it with you.
