Selection Process for Northern Coalfields Limited Job 2024

• Candidates who meet the minimum eligibility criteria as specified in this Notification on the Crucial Date will be required to participate in a Computer Based Test. The selection process will be based on the candidate's relative score in the Computer Based Test.
• Candidates will be permitted to take the Computer Based Test based solely on their declaration of eligibility in the online application form. The scrutiny and verification of the candidate's eligibility for the applied post will be conducted after the declaration of the results of the Computer Based Test. This scrutiny and verification will only be done for those candidates who pass the Computer Based Test according to the minimum qualifying marks (cut-off marks) set.
• The Computer Based Test will be conducted separately for each post. It will consist of 100 marks and will have a duration of 90 minutes (in one sitting). The test will have two sections, Section A and Section B. Section A will focus on technical knowledge related to the discipline and will have 70 multiple choice questions (MCQs). Section B will cover General Knowledge, General Awareness, Reasoning, Verbal & Mental Ability, and Quantitative Aptitude, and will have 30 marks multiple choice questions (MCQs). Each question will carry 01 mark and there will be no penalty for wrong answers. Un-attempted questions will not be awarded any marks. The question paper will be available in both English and Hindi languages. However, in case of any errors or ambiguities in the Hindi version, the English version of the question will be considered valid and final.
