IOCL Apprentice Notification 2024 Post Qualification, Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for this recruitment is given below post wise.

The candidate must possess Indian citizenship.

1. Technician Apprentice Mechanical 

A full-time Diploma in any of the Engineering disciplines mentioned below from a recognized institute or university is required: 

• i) Mechanical Engineering 
• ii) Automobile Engineering. 

This diploma can be obtained either by completing a three-year program or by lateral entry after completing a minimum one-year duration ITI or 10+2.

2. Technician Apprentice Electrical

A full-time Diploma in Engineering from a recognized institute or university is required. The diploma should be in one of the following disciplines: 

• i) Electrical Engineering 
• ii) Electrical & Electronics Engineering. 

The duration of the diploma should be three years, or two years if you have completed ITI for at least one year or 10+2.

3. Technician Apprentice Telecommunication & Instrumentation 

A full-time diploma in any of the following engineering disciplines is required from a government-recognized institute or university: 

• 1) Electronics & Communication Engineering 
• 2) Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering 
• 3) Electronics & Radio Communication Engineering 
• 4) Instrumentation & Control Engineering 
• 5) Instrumentation & Process Control Engineering 
• 6) Electronics Engineering.
• 4. Trade Apprentice (Assistant Human Resource)

Full-time Bachelor's degree (Graduation) from a recognized government institute/university.

4. Trade Apprentice (Accountant) 

Obtain a Commerce degree from a recognized government institute or university on a full-time basis.

5. Data Entry Operator(Fresher Apprentices) 

Minimum education required is completion of 12th grade, but not yet a graduate.

6. Domestic Data Entry Operator(Skill Certificate Holders) 

Minimum qualification required is 12th pass, but below graduate. In addition, candidates must have a skill certificate of "Domestic Data Entry Operator" for training of less than one year issued by a recognized awarding body under the National Skill Qualifications Framework or any other authority recognized by the Central Government.

Age Limit for IOCL Apprentice Vacancies in 2024.

The eligibility criteria will be determined based on the age range of 18 to 24 years as of 12.01.2024.

Selection Process for IOCL Apprentice Job 2024

• The selection process will involve a Written Test.
• The Written Test will be in the form of Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with 4 options, where the candidate has to select the correct option.
• The Written Test will consist of 100 questions, and the total marks will be 100. Each correct answer will be awarded 1 mark.
• There will be no penalty for wrong answers in terms of negative marking.
• The duration of the Written Test will be 120 minutes, which is equivalent to two hours.
• Candidates have the option to choose either English or Hindi language for the Question Paper/Test.
• The minimum qualifying marks for the Written Test is 40%. However, for SC/ST and PwBD candidates applying for reserved trades, this requirement is relaxed by 5%.
• Attaining the minimum qualifying marks in the written test does not guarantee the candidate's selection. The final selection depends on the number of positions available and the candidate's relative performance in their respective categories.
• The final selection for apprenticeship will be based on the marks obtained in the Written Test, following a merit-based approach. A trade-wise and state-wise merit list will be prepared for each region, arranged in descending order of the candidates' Written Test marks. The apprenticeship offers will be made to the candidates in the order of their merit.
• In the event of a tie in the final shortlisting for engagement, the candidate who is older in age will be given preference in the merit list.

IOCL Apprentice Vacancies 2024 Syllabus

• Technician Apprentices will be required to answer a total of 100 objective type questions. Approximately 75 questions will be focused on the specific discipline of Diploma level, while the remaining 25 questions will cover topics such as General Aptitude and Reasoning, General English, Numerical Aptitude, and General Knowledge.
• Trade Apprentice (Accountant) candidates will also face a total of 100 objective type questions. Around 75 questions will be related to general accounts, commerce, and finance, while the remaining 25 questions will assess their knowledge in areas like General Aptitude and Reasoning, General English, Numerical Aptitude, and General Knowledge.
• Trade Apprentice (Assistant-Human Resource) applicants will encounter 100 objective type questions solely based on General Aptitude and Reasoning, General English, Numerical Aptitude, and General Knowledge/awareness.
• For Data Entry Operator and Domestic Data Entry Operator positions, all 100 objective type questions will revolve around General Aptitude and Reasoning, General English, Numerical Aptitude, and General Knowledge/awareness at the Class 12 level.
