CSIR CBRI Technical Assistant Vacancies 2024 Age Limit

• *Candidate age should be minimum 18 years and maximum 38 years.
• Upper age relaxation (upper age limit or lower age limit) shall be permissible.
• The upper age limit can be extended by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and by 3 years for OBC (NCL) candidates who are applying for posts reserved for their respective categories. However, SC/ST/OBC (NCL) candidates applying for unreserved posts will not be eligible for age relaxation. Ex-servicemen will also be eligible for age relaxation as per the rules set by the Government of India.
• Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) can avail an age relaxation of 10 years, with a total of 15 years for SC/ST candidates and 13 years for OBC (NCL) candidates for posts reserved for them. This relaxation is applicable to individuals with various disabilities such as blindness, low vision, deafness, locomotor disability, autism, intellectual disability, and mental illness. The candidates claiming age relaxation under this category must provide a certificate supporting their claim, indicating a physical disability of 40% or more. However, their appointment will be subject to meeting the medical fitness standards set by the Government.
• Regular employees working in CSIR and its Laboratories/Institutes, Government Departments, Autonomous Bodies, and Public Sector Undertakings can avail an age relaxation of up to 5 years. This relaxation is in accordance with the instructions and orders issued by the Government of India/CSIR.
• Persons with Benchmark Disability who are also Central Government Employees can choose to avail age concession either as a 'person with benchmark disability' or as a 'Central Government Employee', whichever is more beneficial to them.

Selection Process for CSIR CBRI Technical Assistant Job 2024

The candidates selected by the Screening Committee will receive an invitation to participate in the Trade Test. Those who successfully pass the Trade Test will then be invited to take part in a competitive written examination. The final ranking will be determined based on the candidate's performance in the competitive written examination.

CSIR CBRI Technical Assistant Recruitment 2024 Mode of Exam

• There will be three papers, namely Paper-I, Paper-II, and Paper-III, for these posts.
• Only candidates who secure the minimum threshold marks in Paper-I, as determined by the Selection Committee, will have their Paper-II and Paper-III evaluated.
• The final merit list will be prepared solely based on the marks obtained by the candidates in Paper-II and Paper-III.

• The application process consists of three distinct steps, as outlined below:

• It is mandatory for candidates to have a valid email ID. If they do not have one, they should create a new valid email ID before applying online and ensure that it remains active throughout the recruitment process. The deadlines for each stage of the application process are as follows:

• Applicants must pay an application fee of Rs.100/- according to the 'fee payment Procedure' outlined on the website. However, candidates belonging to the SC/ST/PwBD/Women/CSIR Employees/ExServicemen categories are exempt from paying the fee. It is important to note that applications submitted without the prescribed fee will not be considered and will be rejected without further review. Please be aware that no appeals against such rejections will be entertained.
• As part of the online application process, candidates are required to upload a recent passport-sized scanned color photograph, as well as their signature, with each file not exceeding a maximum size of 50 KB. Additionally, relevant certificates should also be uploaded, with each file not exceeding a maximum size of 1 MB. Please ensure that these documents are uploaded in the specified location within the online application.
• Once an application has been submitted, it cannot be withdrawn, and the fees paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Furthermore, the paid fees cannot be reserved for any other examination or selection process.
• For candidates whose Boards/Universities/Institutes award CGPA/SGPA/OGPA/DGPA/CPI grades, it is mandatory to convert these grades into a percentage based on the formula provided by their respective Boards/Universities/Institutes. A copy of the conversion formula must be uploaded in the online application.
• Upon successful submission of the application, it will be accepted provisionally. However, applicants must also send a print-out of the application, accompanied by self-attested copies of the required certificates, mark sheets, age proof, educational qualifications, experience, and, if applicable, a Caste Certificate. Additionally, one recent passport-sized self-signed photograph should be affixed to the print-out. The complete application package should be sent by post to the Director, CSIR-CBRI, Roorkee. Please note that the online application will only be considered if the hard copy is received within the specified date and time, as mentioned on the first page of this advertisement.
• Requests for changes or corrections in the application form, once submitted, will not be entertained under any circumstances.
• It is mandatory for candidates to provide their accurate and active email addresses and mobile numbers in the online application. All correspondence will be made through email or SMS.
