ASC Centre Group C Notification 2024 Post Qualification, Eligibility

1. Cook

  • Successful completion of Matriculation or an equivalent qualification from a recognized board is required.
  • Proficiency in the art of Indian Cooking and a thorough understanding of the trade are essential.
  • It is preferable to possess at least one year of experience in the trade.

2. Civilian Catering Instructor

  • Successful completion of Matriculation or an equivalent qualification from a recognized board.
  • Possession of a Diploma or Certificate in catering from a recognized institution.
  • It is preferable to have a minimum of one year of instructional experience in the field of catering.

3. MTS (Chowkidar)

  • Successful completion of Matriculation or an equivalent qualification from a recognized board is required.
  • Proficiency in trade work is a prerequisite for this position.

4. Tradesman Mate (Labour)

  • Completion of matriculation or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution is required.
  • Proficiency in the specific trade is a prerequisite.

5. Vehicle Mechanic

  • Completed 10th grade from a recognized Board.
  • Proficient in reading tool and vehicle names in both English and Hindi.
  • Possesses one year of experience in his respective trade.

6. Civilian Motor Driver

  • Successful completion of matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized institution is required.

7. Cleaner

8. Fire Engine Driver

  • It is preferable for candidates to have attended a fireman course and obtained certification from a reputable institution.

9. Fireman

  • Successful completion of Matriculation or an equivalent qualification from a recognized board is required.
  • Proficiency in the use and maintenance of various types of extinguishers, hose fittings, fire appliances, and equipment such as fire engines, trailers, pumps, and foam branches is essential.
  • Familiarity with the use and maintenance of first-aid fire fighting appliances and Trailer Fire Pump is necessary.
  • Sound knowledge of the fundamental principles of Fire Fighting methods employed in combating different types of fires is mandatory.
  • Ability to effectively participate in foot and appliance Fire Service Drills and carry out assigned tasks as a member of the fire crew is expected.
  • Ideally, certification from a reputable institution after completing a fireman course is preferred.

10. Leading Fireman

  • Successful completion of Matriculation or an equivalent qualification from a recognized board is required.
  • Proficiency in the use and maintenance of various types of extinguishers, hose fittings, fire appliances, and equipment such as fire engines, trailers, pumps, and foam branches is essential.
  • Ability to train, guide, and supervise the operation of a 'B' crane and take independent charge of a shift is necessary.
  • Familiarity with the basic principles of Fire Fighting methods used to combat different types of fires is a must.
  • Knowledge of foot and appliance Fire Service Drills and the ability to perform assigned tasks as a member of the fire crew is expected.
  • Ideally, certification from a reputable institution after completing a fireman course is preferred.

ASC Centre Group C Vacancies 2024 Age Limit

  • Candidates applying for the positions of CCI, Cooks, Cleaner, FED, Fireman, Leading Fireman, Vehicle Mechanic, MTS (Chowkidar), and Tradesman Mate (Labour) are required to be within the age range of 18 to 25 years.
  • The age requirement for candidates applying for the position of Civilian Motor Driver is between 18 to 27 years.
  • The maximum age limit can be extended for government employees and ex-servicemen candidates in accordance with the current government regulations. This extension is based on the total years of service in the Armed Forces plus an additional 3 years.
  • SC/ST candidates who are applying for their reserved positions will receive a relaxation of up to 5 years in the age limit. Similarly, OBC (Non-creamy layer) candidates will be granted a relaxation of up to 3 years.
  • Individuals with disabilities under the UR category will receive a relaxation of 10 years in the age limit. OBC (Non-creamy layer) category candidates will have a relaxation of 13 years, while SC/ST category candidates will have a relaxation of 15 years.
  • SC/ST/OBC candidates who apply for unreserved positions will not receive any age or other concessions that are specifically meant for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
  • Individuals with disabilities should possess a disability certificate issued by the CMO/Civil Surgeon of a government hospital, certifying their disability.
  • Departmental candidates who have served continuously for three years in the Central Government can apply up to the age of 40 (45 years for SC/ST candidates).

Selection Process for ASC Centre Group C Job 2024

All candidates will undergo a technical trade test and physical examination, if applicable. Only those who pass the technical trade and physical tests will be eligible to take the written test. The selection will be based solely on merit. The selection process will include Skill/Physical/Practical tests and a written test, if necessary. For Group 'C' positions, the selection will be based on the marks obtained in the written test, provided the applicant qualifies in the Skill/Physical/Practical test, if required.

Examination Syllabus for ASC Center Group C Recruitment 2024

(a) General Intelligence & Reasoning: The test will consist of questions at the Matriculation level, focusing on non-verbal reasoning. The questions may cover topics such as analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, problem-solving analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, figure classification, arithmetical number series, and non-verbal series. Additionally, the test will assess the candidate's ability to handle abstract ideas and symbols, as well as their proficiency in arithmetical computation and other analytical functions.

(b) General Awareness: The test will comprise questions at the Matriculation level. Its purpose is to evaluate the candidate's general awareness of their surroundings and its application to society. The questions will also assess the candidate's knowledge of current events and their understanding of scientific aspects related to everyday observations and experiences. The test will cover topics such as Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity (including the Indian Constitution), and Scientific Research. It is important to note that these questions do not require specialized knowledge in any particular discipline.

(c) English Language: The test will consist of questions at the Matriculation level. It aims to assess the candidate's understanding of the fundamentals of the English language, including vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms, and correct usage. The candidate's writing ability will also be evaluated.

(d) Numerical Aptitude: This paper will include questions on various numerical concepts, such as Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions, and the relationship between Numbers. It will also cover topics like Fundamental Arithmetical Operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit & Loss, Discount, the use of Tables and Graphs, Mensuration, Time and Distance, and Ratio and Time, Time and Work, among others. The questions will require candidates to apply their numerical skills and problem-solving abilities.

  • It is imperative for all candidates to carefully read the Advertisement before completing the application form. It is the responsibility of each candidate to ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria stated in the advertisement in order to apply for the available positions.
  • The candidates are required to write the following information on the top of the cover envelope using capital letters:
  • "APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ______________".
  • The overall percentage obtained in Matriculation or its equivalent, written in capital letters and signed by the candidates. 
  • The color of ink used should correspond to the following:
    • (aa) Less than or equal to 50% in RED INK.
    • (ab) From 51% to 60% in BLUE INK.
    • (ac) Above 61% in BLACK INK.
Note: The percentage of marks obtained should be calculated as (Marks obtained/Max marks x 100) or for CGPA (CGPA x 9.5%) or for grading A = 90-100% (minimum % will be counted).
  • The format for the application cover envelope is provided in Appendix I.
  • If the applicant is a Government Employee, they must clearly mark it on the envelope as "GOVT EMPLOYEES".
  • Aadhar Cards issued below the age of 10 years will not be accepted.
  • The name on the Aadhar Card and PAN must match the applicant's name as stated in the School Certificate.
  • The format for the application cover envelope is provided in Appendix I.
  • When indicating the percentage of marks on the cover envelope using different color inks, any decimal number less than 0.5 should be rounded down to the lower digit, while any decimal number equal to or above 0.5 should be rounded up to the upper digit. For example, 48.49% should be rounded off to 48% and 50.50% should be rounded off to 51%.
